ANI-mate for fun

Let me start by saying this is not a fashion post. It's about what happens "behind the scenes" when taking the pictures we love so much. A simple method is to have a posestand with animations inside.
But what happens if you can't rezz it? Or if you want to photograph a friend? Most animations are sold no transfer. Then you can use the ANI-mate HUD made by Vextra Messing.
What is so great about it? Well for starters, it organizes the animations you already have and the interface is much more user-friendly: you get to display 10 animations at a time. Once you click a certain animation, you can animate yourself.
What's even better is that you can actually animate other avatars (up to 12) for a photo. So remember that nice sim where you wanted to take a nice photo of your friend but couldn't because you didn't have rezz permission? Well, the HUD solves that problem for you! You don't NEED to rezz a thing. Unless of course, you really want to.
Another thing, particularly useful to fashion pics is the possibility of saving the camera position.
And guess what? You don't have to be a genius to use it. What you get: a HUD full with over 100 animations, a poseball and a copiable (empty) HUD. You rezz the empty HUD on the ground, drag and drop your animations inside, get back the HUD and use the little buttons to animate yourself or others. You can use it for dances too!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Blue

Luna Jubilee proposed a blogger challenge for 52 weeks. Apparently I missed this last week, cause I wasn't in SL at all, but that's ok :) There is only one request to make this challenge: blog a look predominantly in one color. Even I can do that. This week the color is blue. So here is my take on blue!
I accesorized this sexy little dress from Blaze -an oldie but goodie- with the boots from Milady's and two new releases from je suis. All blue! Thank you Julia for the bangles :) I finally found out their name: C'est magnifique. This is how I feel right now, magnifique. Hope you like this look :)

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Somewhere Over The Rainbow is the song I heard when I arrived at Purple Forrest. I was searching for a pretty place as an excuse to show off my new nails. They are a collaborative effort between two talented designers, Julia Merosi of je suis and Leah McCullough of Naive. The ring is optional and there are plenty of colors to choose from. My pick was - of course - pink! I matched them with the makeup from Musa - I love the combo.

Adam n Eve

I was about to take a lot of pictures with shadows for this blogpost, but SL refused to cooperate. Before I crashed, I made *one* pretty picture to show off the cute and sexy dress I am wearing, a new release from Adam n Eve. The other photo is taken in "normal" conditions.
The Pinafore dress comes in several colors and it is perfect for autumn. Showing skin but not too much :) Plus you get free leggings. I like the fact you can try a demo for free at this store, even for clothing. So it's really try-before-you-buy!
Both hairs are from MINA Hairfashion but only one is a cute gift from For the Love of Fall Hunt. The hunt runs till 28th November (you search for a little golden robot). You can see how shiny the texture is compared to the hair on the right. I love it! The necklace is free from U&R Dogs.

The Good Witch

It seems that even Glinda, the Good Witch of the North from The Wizard of Oz, doesn't mind showing some attitude and just the right amount of skin. Celestial Journey

It's All About The Shadows

This theme for this week was suggested by our lovely Alysha Rennahan. The idea is to dip into the opposite sex's closet, and wear something that would normally be worn by that gender. Today, Nalin is sporting a casual men's outfit. Perhaps *she* is going jogging or to the gym on a warm summer day, iPod wrapped around the upper arm to listen to music. Showing off her muscular chest through the white tank, the black sneakers flicking back and forth, as she receives her fair share of glances and gazes from other girls in their athletic tops and shorts. Milady's and Je suis

I've been cleaning my inventory again. There a few pieces that will survive any cleaning. The classic ones that you remember from the top of your head. You get the idea. My look today is made of such items: the jewelry is from je suis (Julia is selling her stuff at the jewelry fair also), my sandals are from Milady's and wow do they catch your eye. Both the jewelry and the sandals are color changeable so with one click I was able to match them to my outfit.
