I confess, I love the hair created by Mina Nakamura of Mina Hair a lot. When I put on the beautiful Ella hair I suddenly had a vision of a classic beauty, Scarlett O'Hara. Scarlett would in fact wear a ballgown, like I am today.

Because Luana Juliesse of Milady's Jewelry decided to make a dress and wow, I'm seriously in love with it! The sexy low back of this amazing dress will definitely turn heads. The jewelry and the shoes (not shown) are included, but the lace mask is sold separately.

Sometimes I find myself having the best accessories from the grid. Like, one of the new releases of je suis, the iconique waist belt. Every color allows you infinite combinations of accents, metal and studs. So I'm not kidding when I say the sky is the limit - or, better said - your imagination! Here comes the hard part though: I had nothing to wear. Doh! It's so difficult to find a good dress that is not overloaded with details. So I made one ;)

Moniq told me to start blogging again. So here I am! The point of blogging is to make an outfit right? Right?! Well I am all dressed up yet stuck at the choice of nails! How can I possibly select between so many options when I have the new nails from je suis. Five per color group! Metallic or french! Seriously now, should I pick the metallic version in purple?

One Year

Over a year ago, I was persuaded by a friend to start a fashion blog. I am glad I did it because I learned a lot and made new friends. You know who you are, thank you for being there for me :)

And even after so much time, I still like dressing up and taking photos. Today I'm dressed to kill! The overknee boots from Milady's are my favourite these days and I haven't taken them off since I got them. Don't forget to update your landmarks because Milady's has moved to a new sim.

Today's Look

I decided to share today's look with you. The hair is not-yet-released from Mina Hair and I think it's absolutely flirty. I started the outfit from a red leather jacket now discounted at Designer Circle (hurry! today is the last day).
The red color screamed for more red, so I put on the red leather pants from Vextra. That's really a keeper for me.
I wanted contrast so I decided to make something instead of searching my inventory :) The bra and bikini are the newest release at Aggressione, and this time I made it a group gift. All you need to do is join Aggressione group to get it for free. And if you have no group spots left, you can get it on marketplace for a mere L$1.

The beautiful colorful jewelry is from je suis, which recently turned 1 year old! Congrats Julia!

Or should I say shoes and CH1C? You probably realized I'm going to show you some shoes at this point. Yep. NX-Nardcotix has released fabulous sandals in various colors and I found my way into creating an outfit around them. With them. Ehmm... Actually I put on a dress from Thalia ;)

I don't know for others, but for me weekend means shopping. I really really wanted a new hair. And that is always a tough decision for me. Easter makes me also dream at summer time... Don't Hold Your Breath

If my blog had real feelings it would probably scream at me and ask me what the hell have I been up to. I would say, Dear blog, I missed you a lot. That thing that we call "Real Life" has kept me away from you. But I promise you, you won't be left alone.
I've been also creating, which took most of my SL hours. And it's been loads of fun. My second dress is a delicate and classy dress made of lace with a satin bow on the back.

Taking pictures became fun again after a few days without blogging. I put together an outfit that could be considered a mismatch by some, but I love it a lot. It started with the cowboy hat from je suis, a new release, in the tentee series. My top is one of the newest releases from Absolution, available now at the I heart Originals fair. The pants are new from Spirit Store, but please keep in mind they come with extra attachments that I'm not showing here. The finishing touch was the beautiful jewelry set from .: BeautyCode::.. All in all, I'm happy with this look :)

Milady's Brings Tears in Absolution

SL designers never cease to amaze me with their creativity. I knew Absolution had lots of awesome new releases which I hadn't blogged yet. So yesterday, I picked up a red tube top and a black high waist skirt that were a perfect match to my new curly hair from Hazzard.
Of course, I needed some accesories. Luana Juliesse of Milady's surprised me yet again with one of her wonderful jewelry sets. It is called "Blood Tears from a Rose", and for a good reason. Each rose cries! For real! I hope you like this look as much as I do!

Summer or winter, depending on your location, designers have got you covered. Annette Voight of [Decoy] has created this amazing new dress called Sophie. I have fallen in love with it the second I put it on! The details are amazing!
And if you live in the northern hemisphere, do not worry, Cynthia Ultsch of [Cynful] is selling one of the sexiest mini knit dresses ever! You really can't take your eyes off it :P
I'm wearing in both cases the new release Raye set made by Julia Merosi from je suis, and you can see just how versatile it is. With a few clicks I can change the color of all the elements of both the necklace and the earrings to match my outfit just the way I want it. That's just awesome!

A New Beginning

This week's challenge issued by Luna Jubilee wasn't difficult at all. A silver mini dress from **GizzA** is exactly what I had in mind for the first day of the new year. Party's still on! The dress comes originally with silk socks and glittery gloves, not shown here.

I've been meaning to blog this outfit for quite some time now, only real life didn't let me. The pants are last week's release from [ILAYA] and they come in several colors. My pick was brown, because it works well with gold. My sandals from Milady's were just the thing for this outfit.

I wandered this morning at a new-to-me sim, Milvus. It's a really great place to visit, whether you're alone or not :P I encountered there awesome views, and I say views, because you have spring and winter in the same place. I definitely miss spring so I stopped next to the beautiful flowers in the shape of a heart. I blended right in with my new colorful outfit from MEB. Winter may be fast approaching for those in the Northern hemisphere, but in Second Life, the palm trees are always blossoming somewhere. The kitten Nalin loves to show off her legs, and found this beautiful little red dress with anchor print from Whippet & Buck to do just that. Along with a pair of heels from J's and a necklace to match from JCNY, she is dressed for both the day and night on the town, maybe strolling around and shopping with friends, or heading out to the club later. Luna Said Goldenrod

This week's color is goldenrod, as Luna Jubilee's blog says. I have to admit I wasn't quite sure what *goldenrod* is, so I googled. Yeah, I know, even if Luna put the color right there on her blog. My golden leggings from League were fab and even though the rod part is missing I added a cute top, which kind of makes up for that part. I added some awesome bangles and an equally awesome belt, both from Milady's Jewelry. I think the belt does a great job at adding that little detail to the outfit and luckily it is both metal and color changeable. The hairstyle is the latest subscribeo gift from ChiChickie. All this being said, I ended up being very pleased with this outfit :)

I won at Midnight Mania a hair that makes me feel like Cleopatra and the Garden of Da Vinci seemed adequate for taking pics. When I put on this long curly hair from Hazzard, it just so happened I was wearing the jewelry set from Milady's.
Luana Juliesse, the talented designer of Milady's, who gracefully gave me the review copy, told me the girls in her group wanted bold jewelry. Thus she made the Extravaganzza set. I paired the rich necklace and bangles with a simple and beautiful dress from WoE (previous Platinum hunt gift). Hope you enjoy this look!

ANI-mate for fun

Let me start by saying this is not a fashion post. It's about what happens "behind the scenes" when taking the pictures we love so much. A simple method is to have a posestand with animations inside.
But what happens if you can't rezz it? Or if you want to photograph a friend? Most animations are sold no transfer. Then you can use the ANI-mate HUD made by Vextra Messing.
What is so great about it? Well for starters, it organizes the animations you already have and the interface is much more user-friendly: you get to display 10 animations at a time. Once you click a certain animation, you can animate yourself.
What's even better is that you can actually animate other avatars (up to 12) for a photo. So remember that nice sim where you wanted to take a nice photo of your friend but couldn't because you didn't have rezz permission? Well, the HUD solves that problem for you! You don't NEED to rezz a thing. Unless of course, you really want to.
Another thing, particularly useful to fashion pics is the possibility of saving the camera position.
And guess what? You don't have to be a genius to use it. What you get: a HUD full with over 100 animations, a poseball and a copiable (empty) HUD. You rezz the empty HUD on the ground, drag and drop your animations inside, get back the HUD and use the little buttons to animate yourself or others. You can use it for dances too!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Blue

Luna Jubilee proposed a blogger challenge for 52 weeks. Apparently I missed this last week, cause I wasn't in SL at all, but that's ok :) There is only one request to make this challenge: blog a look predominantly in one color. Even I can do that. This week the color is blue. So here is my take on blue!
I accesorized this sexy little dress from Blaze -an oldie but goodie- with the boots from Milady's and two new releases from je suis. All blue! Thank you Julia for the bangles :) I finally found out their name: C'est magnifique. This is how I feel right now, magnifique. Hope you like this look :)

Somewhere Over The Rainbow is the song I heard when I arrived at Purple Forrest. I was searching for a pretty place as an excuse to show off my new nails. They are a collaborative effort between two talented designers, Julia Merosi of je suis and Leah McCullough of Naive. The ring is optional and there are plenty of colors to choose from. My pick was - of course - pink! I matched them with the makeup from Musa - I love the combo.

I was about to take a lot of pictures with shadows for this blogpost, but SL refused to cooperate. Before I crashed, I made *one* pretty picture to show off the cute and sexy dress I am wearing, a new release from Adam n Eve. The other photo is taken in "normal" conditions.
The Pinafore dress comes in several colors and it is perfect for autumn. Showing skin but not too much :) Plus you get free leggings. I like the fact you can try a demo for free at this store, even for clothing. So it's really try-before-you-buy!
Both hairs are from MINA Hairfashion but only one is a cute gift from For the Love of Fall Hunt. The hunt runs till 28th November (you search for a little golden robot). You can see how shiny the texture is compared to the hair on the right. I love it! The necklace is free from U&R Dogs.
